Drew Dellinger

Posted by Aether under: Community News .

I have been intending on writing about visionary poet Drew Dellinger for a while now. From the moment I first encountered his work, and in particular his “Hymn to the Sacred Body of the Universe“, I fell in love. Here was a poet in the grand tradition, evoking passions and possibilities in the broadest scale possible. I chose to include a permanent link to his website in our front page links, because I feel that his creations are both eminently relevant and immensely wondrous. But I was pushed over the edge yesterday when I discovered video of him reciting his own work, posted on the Global Oneness Project’s site. I knew he must be a profound soul to have invoked creations of the caliber he has published. But to hear his words in his own voice is an entirely other experience that I most heartedly recommend, and is an excellent means to introduce the subject to friends and family that may not be familiar with such ideas.

Enjoy!

We also know that further imposition of our human technologies on the natural world, with such disdain for the technologies of nature, can lead only to a further impasse in the entire earth venture. ~ Thomas Berry
